Intersegmental Traction Table
An intersegmental traction table is a type of therapy table commonly used by chiropractors and other healthcare providers to help relieve back pain and other musculoskeletal conditions. The table consists of a padded surface with rollers that move up and down the length of the table. The patient lies on the table, and the rollers move gently up and down the spine, providing a form of spinal traction. The patient can control the intensity of the traction by adjusting the speed and pressure of the rollers. The purpose of intersegmental traction is to help improve spinal mobility, reduce muscle tension, and increase blood flow to the affected area. The gentle stretching and mobilization of the spinal joints can help to reduce pressure on the nerves, relieve pain, and improve overall spinal function.
